Cystic fibrosis prescription referrals may be sent to any of our locations as well as our dedicated cystic fibrosis pharmacy.

Your patient may have a health plan that requires us to only use one of our locations to fill for their members. Or, a pharmaceutical manufacturer may have a limited distribution network that requires us to fill certain medications from certain locations. If you’re unsure where to send a specialty prescription, contact us at 855-244-2555. If this is a home delivery prescription, contact us at 888-211-9028.

Absolutely. You can still refer patients to a Walgreens community-based specialty pharmacy, though access may differ by insurance plan. If that location isn’t able to fill the prescription, we then look to other pharmacies, including AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy, to see if we can fill that prescription instead. If we can’t, we then will work to transfer the prescription to a pharmacy that is able to fill it.

Depending on your state’s Board of Pharmacy requirements and patient’s health plan, a patient may choose to pick up their specialty medication at any Walgreens community-based specialty pharmacy, neighborhood Walgreens, or Duane Reade.

We aim to help you where we can in order to save you time. Our expert specialists conduct a complete review of benefits, help facilitate the prior authorization process, and communicate with physician offices and insurance companies to assist with insurance appeals, all to ensure patients receive their medications as soon as possible.

We work closely with drug manufacturers and patient assistance groups to identify ways to help ease copay costs so patients can begin their prescribed therapy as soon as possible.

Our team of pharmacy experts will contact your office at various points in the prescription fill process in order to enable rapid delivery.

When a prescription is ready, a patient care advocate will reach out to your patient to proactively arrange delivery and/or pick-up where and when the patient prefers. They can also answer any questions your patient may have. Patients can also log into their account at alliancerxwp.com to check the status of their prescription order.

Depending on your state’s Board of Pharmacy requirements and patient’s health plan, a patient may choose to receive their specialty prescription at home, work, at their doctor’s office, a Walgreens community-based specialty pharmacy, or a neighborhood Walgreens or Duane Reade.

Our platform, accessible online, combines both a patient’s specialty and retail/non-specialty medications filled at Walgreens and/or AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy in one location.

Yes. Our Specialty360 Therapy Teams provide personalized care to patients in the areas of pulmonology, fertility, infusion and rare conditions. These teams collaborate with the patient’s doctors to ensure optimal care, help patients stay on track with their treatment, leverage patient financial assistance opportunities when available and much more.

Additionally, all patients are auto-enrolled in our Connected Care clinical management program and receive counseling about their prescribed therapy.
